At Botterford CE Primary School, our Design and Technology curriculum inspires children to become creative thinkers and problem-solvers through practical, hands-on learning experiences. From the Early Years through to Year 6, pupils develop skills in designing, making and evaluating products while exploring areas such as structures, mechanisms, textiles, food and nutrition. Learning is carefully sequenced across all year groups and curriculum cycles to ensure progression in knowledge, technical skills and creativity, encouraging children to work independently and collaboratively while developing resilience, innovation and confidence.
